Cone shell gachai necklace with two orange spondylus beads strung on a gold plated chain that can be adjusted between 16 - 24 inches. Hand crafted by CHamoru Master Carver-Body Ornamentation artist Jill Benavente. Attractive polished accessory great for both day and evening wear.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Julie “Jill” Quichocho Benavente is a traditional and contemporary CHamoru/Chamorro body ornamentation artist. Benavente carves fine jewelry from local materials such as hima (Tridacna or giant clam), Spondylus (thorny oysters), stone, cow bone, wild boar tusks, and more. Benavente has been creating and carving since the 1990s.
